French bulldog race isn't natural : it is the result of the union of two different races, mastiffs and terriers, and by completing will give actual bulldog anatomic characters.

He's a strong dog, he can be compared with mastiff and boxer, their origins are the sames : Tibet mastiff.

Breading number is giong up since those last years ( people know those dogs better ).

The bulldog color isn't always the same, you can find "bringés", that means darker, with what looks like "rays", other are "caille" : with a lot of white, and small or big markings; "fauve", same color than fire, light or darker...

What's his character ??

This question must be answer without hesitation : an excellent one, very close to his master and to people taking care of him. He's able to get used of master's behaviour and temperament.

Whatever happens, if you take him with other dogs, you can get from him a strange feeling simular to jealous feeling.

The Bulldog health.

It's quite easy to get rid of parasites , by regular administrations of worm tablet. Against tics collars can also be used ( or sprays ) to be sure of not having problems with that.

Another thing you don't have to forget : vaccinations, as soon as the puppy reaches 2 months. Main illness to fight against are Distemper, the Canin Parvovirose infection, Leptospirosis, Rabies, Babesia.

Bulldog ( facial... ) Anatomy leads to him a kind of fragility in his breathing system : he doesn't stand heat very well, you'd better try to make no exercise to him when sun is too much hot or weather too much close. Over all, never let him alone in a car under sun and with no air. Do not hesitate to splash him with water if you think he needs.

Bulldog spinal column sensible zone : a kind of "slipped disc" can start with him.

A wound can be treated with the application of a compress ( no tourniquet ! ), burn is treated with a cold application on the burnt skin. In case of poisoning, take the dog to the vet without trying to give him somthing to eat or drink or trying to make him bring up.
